I've installed Perian but it hasn't helped with the audio (before installing it I couldn't even get a visual for MPEG Stremclip or Quicktime!). avi files, and as far as I can gather, the video codec is H264 and the audio codec is mp4a. No sound when I try to play them in Quicktime, either. but I really need to get the audio working before I even get that far!
